Tony is involved in all facets of Business development, day to day operations, and product development. Prior to founding CaptureCode, Tony held business/technology management positions at several well known companies including MBI, Cambridge Technology Partners, Fidelity Investments, Stratus Computers, and Motorola Codex. At MBI (now FIS), Tony served as the CTO. Tony has more than 20 years of Business and technology leadership experience for Fortune 500 and startup companies building large scale, highly secure and reliable technology solutions in the financial industry. Tony has extensive experience in building complex transaction processing systems and is a pioneer in creating the FSA, HSA, CDHP debit card solution. Tony has a successful reputation of delivering turnkey business solutions that ensure highly stable and efficient systems. Via the CaptureCode solution, Tony has been able to help merchants drive customer acquisitions/retentions and enable consumers with measurable marketing programs. Jim Miller started his first enterprise in 1965 as a junior in college and began a forty year career which included his founding or co-founding a number of successful start ups, including four public companies as well as a public interest law firm. In his 10 years of active trial practice he was trial counsel for the Attica Brothers Legal Defense and numerous other environmental and progressive groups. He was Director of the MA Department of Environmental Protection under Gov. Michael Dukakis and later continued his environmental interest as the Director of the MA Environmental Crimes Strike Force and later, as an investigative reporter for a weekly television program produced by Gannett Broadcasting Corporation. Jim attended Middlebury College, Boston University Law School and an MPA at Harvard's Kennedy School. For the past nine years he has been Chief Investment Officer of a New York private foundation. Somshankar Das ("Som") is an international business executive, investor and entrepreneur operating in the US-India corridor for the past 25 years. Som is Managing Director and Co Founder of Business Accelerator LLC (www.bizacc.com), focused on increasing value for Mid-Cap Companies by building scalable business models. Paul Stouse is the Chief Financial Officer of Capital Investment Management, Inc., a field marketing organization that supports the sale and distribution of fixed and indexed annuities, single-premium life products and market-linked CDs through bank broker-dealers. Prior to joining Capital Investment Management, Paul was a stock analyst with an institutional brokerage firm in New Orleans, and before that structured and arranged private placements for development-stage companies. He also served in various finance and business development roles with a major mining company. Paul received a B.S. degree in Commerce from the University of Virginia in 1984 and a Master of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1991. He earned his CFA designation in 1989. Milind Mehere is the Co-Founder & VP Business Development at Yodle, a local online advertising company with 10K customers and 450+ employees which debuted at #35 on the 2010 Inc 500 list. He is responsible for expanding Yodle's Advertising network through distribution, media & product partnerships as well as leading Yodle's sales channel partner business. Previously, Milind was VP of Operations & Client Services and grew the team from 0 to 80 employees supporting thousands of Yodle customers. Prior to Yodle, Milind was Director of Global Sales Engineering at OATSystems (acq. by Check Point Systems-CKP) a Matrix and Greylock funded company providing real time operations visibility using RFID technology. At Oat, he was responsible for global sales engineering and industry solutions. Before that, Milind held several leadership roles with P&L responsibility at i2 Technologies (ITWO acquired by JDA Software-JDAS), a supply chain management company.Milind advises several start-ups and entrepreneurs in the digital media, mobile and local space. Milind has an MS in Industrial Engineering from SUNY(Buffalo), and a BS(Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bombay. John Harthorne is the Founder and CEO of MassChallenge, a startup competition and accelerator designed to catalyze a startup renaissance by connecting high-impact startups from around the world with the resources they need to launch and succeed. The first annual competition launched in April 2010 and 16 winners split a prize pool of $1 million in cash in October 2010. In January of 2011, President Barack Obama identified MassChallenge as one of America's most effective startup accelerators and announced MassChallenge as an inaugural member of the Startup America Partnership to promote high-growth startups across the country and around the world. The 2011 MassChallenge competition received over 730 applications from more than 30 states and 27 countries.
Advisory MembersBipin C. Shah, is the Chairman of UBPS' board of directors and Chief Executive Officer. Since the sale of Genpass, Inc. to U.S. Bancorp in 2005, Mr. Shah has been a private investor, focusing on opportunities in the payments business. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Shah was the Chief Executive Officer of Genpass, Inc. where he led the development of the MoneyPass, a surcharge- free ATM network, as well as a payroll debit card used by several large payroll companies. From 1992 until its sale to Paymentech in 1996, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Gensar, Inc., a company that specialized in the processing of restaurant debit and credit card transaction. During his tenure at Gensar, Inc., he led development of the ''Tip Management System'' along with other technology enhancements. From 1980 to 1991, Mr. Shah was employed by CoreStates Financial Corporation and its predecessor, Philadelphia National Bank, ultimately serving as Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer. While at CoreStates, Mr. Shah oversaw the acquisitions of seven ATM and point of sale businesses and was active in the development of several products for the financial services industry's payments infrastructure, including the Money Access Center network, the introduction of debit to the point-of-sale, cash-back, and pay-at-the- pump. From 1985 to 1992, Mr. Shah served as a director of VISA USA and VISA INTERNATIONAL. Earlier in his career, he was a Senior Vice President at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and a Senior Vice President at American Express, as well as the President of Vertex Division of MAI. Mr. Shah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Baldwin- Wallace College and a Masters in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Baldwin-Wallace College. Peter B. Davidson, is Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary - Pete is also Chief Executive Officer of Brooks FI Solutions, LLC, an entity that provides retail banking and payment solutions that he founded in 2006. Immediately prior to founding Brooks FI Solutions, Mr. Davidson was Executive Vice President of Genpass, Inc. where, from 2002 until its acquisition and subsequent integration by U.S. Bancorp in 2005, he led its efforts to bring stored value products to market. While at Genpass, Inc., he was also involved in the development and implementation of MoneyPass, a surcharge-free ATM network. Earlier in his career, Mr. Davidson served as President of Speer & Associates, leading domestic and international consulting engagements in the retail banking and electronic funds transfer industry; Executive Vice President at HSBC USA and President of HSBC Mortgage, where he was responsible for managing its consumer businesses; and Senior Vice President at CoreStates Financial, where he managed the credit card and consumer lending businesses, and developed remote banking strategies. Mr. Davidson holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Finance and Accounting, and an MBA from Widener University in Finance. Sandy Posa, is CEO of Austin Packaging Company. Austin Packaging Company is a privately held food co-packer with sales of $100 million. Customers include Kraft Foods, General Mills, Conagra, Nestle, and other smaller companies. Responsibilities are part time and include working closely with the owners on all aspects of the business with emphasis on financial performance, sales and instituting effective and sustainable business processes that match the expectations of large multi-national customers. Sandy past experience entails: Vice President of Gillette Company, CEO of Medibank, Assistant COO/President Consumer Imaging Division/Executive Vice President of Polaroid Corporations, Inc. Dr. Charanjit S Jutla received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology at Kanpur, and PhD in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin in 1990. Since then he has been a Research Staff Member at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center. Dr. Jutla's research interests include Cryptography and Coding Theory. He has served on the program committees of various international conferences in Cryptography, and he currently holds 20 patents. His patent portfolio includes such diverse applications as electronic cash and secure distributed storage. He is also the inventor of the first ever single-pass authenticated encryption scheme. He is one of the main designers of the block cipher MARS, the stream cipher SCREAM, and the hash function Fugue.

A wireless and interactive industry veteran, Mark brings over twenty years of consumer sales and marketing experience. Mark has held senior leadership positions with major US wireless carriers including Cingular Wireless (now AT&T) where he ran the New England region as Vice President and General Manger (2000-04). At Cingular, Mark lead a 650 employee team and managed all functional areas including retail, dealer and interactive sales, marketing, customer care and had full annual P&L responsibility of $800 Million. Under his direction he helped launch Cingular Wireless in 2001 - the combination of thirteen regional wireless companies forming one nationwide brand. Prior to Cingular, Mark was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Cellular One Boston (1997-00), while there Mark managed all aspects of sales and marketing for the region representing annual revenues of $500 Million. |
